Andrew Sullivan

Andrew is a SCEECS Postdoctoral Fellow joint between Columbia University and the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. His research interests lie at the intersection of high energy astrophysics, plasma physics, and gravitational wave astrophysics. Much of Andrew's work has focused on relativistic outflows produced by these compact objects and the interaction with their environments, including in systems such as spider pulsars and supermassive black hole binaries. Andrew is currently studying pulsar wind nebulae, the nHz gravitational wave background, and dHz gravitational wave detection. Prior to his postdoc, Andrew was a PhD student at Stanford University under the supervision of Roger Romani and Roger Blandford.
