Anirudh (Ani) Patel is broadly interested in the microphysics of extreme phenomena and their connection to multi-messenger observables. His work has focused on understanding rapid neutron capture nucleosynthesis and its thermal and non-thermal signatures in magnetar flares and supernovae. He investigates these systems with a combination of analytical and numerical tools.
Ani began his graduate studies in the Physics Department at Columbia in 2022 where he is currently a Julian Schwinger Fellow.
